Isobel Kuhn: On the Roof of the World
As a fourteen-year-old intent on living a “modern” life, the last thing Isobel Kuhn wanted to grow up to be was a missionary. But as it turned out, this young agnostic’s life was redirected—from crisis and doubt to hope and strength.
Convinced that she was to serve as a missionary with the China Inland Mission, Isobel bravely lived among the Lisu people in the remote mountainous regions along the China – Burma border. After twenty years she returned to the United States, where she wrote stirring stories of faith and survival while living among the Lisu.
